Payball is an app that gives sports organizations an easy, fast and affordable way to pay their officials, coaches, event staff and others – quite simply, it is the modern solution for payments, replacing the outdated use of checks and cash.

We are a startup sports technology company that began as a solution to a personal pain-point for its founder, who was frustrated with the risk and administration needed to pay referees with cash.  Since its launch in 2017 the company has been experiencing exciting growth throughout the country and across all sports at all age levels.

Note from Founder:

Spring sports were decimated this year and Summer sports will also be severely impacted.  But Sports Directors at all levels across the country are now taking their first challenging steps to start up again, and I believe Payball is in a unique position to play a role by ensuring it’s done safely.  The vast majority of organizations continue to make payments with cash or check – if ever there was a time to go paperless, now is that time.

Back in the 1990’s I played lacrosse for Penn State and I remember all too well the importance of summer internships.  I know many of you have lost that opportunity this summer due to the Covid-19 pandemic…I am truly sorry for your loss and I can only imagine how disappointed you must be…

I know first-hand the unique set of skills you have as a student-athlete and I’d like to help you exercise them this summer as part of the Payball team!  I look forward to hearing from you!
